The Economist on iPhone and iPad

The apps are free to download and include free access to the editor's     highlights
Print and digital subscribers receive full access to each week's issue
Each week's new issue can be downloaded to your device from 9pm     UK time on Thursday

Each Thursday by 9pm London time (4pm New York time) The Economist will be available to download for reading on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
We have reformatted the newspaper to make the most of the devices while still retaining the familiar feel of The Economist, with all the articles, charts, maps and images from each week’s print edition.
We have included audio version of all articles, providing a convenient way to access our popular audio edition, with easy switching between reading and listening.
Free access
The apps are free to download from the App Store and everyone receives free access to the editor’s highlights – a weekly selection of six must-read articles.
Full access
Digital and print subscribers receive full access to each week’s issue – simply enter your Economist online email address and password within the app.
If you are a print subscriber but have not yet activated your full digital access, you can activate from within the apps. You will need to register or log in first then activate full access using your customer reference number and expiry date.
If you are not a current subscriber but would like full access you can purchase single issue or a digital subscription from within the apps.
A digital subscription gives you full access to The Economist on iPhone and iPad and The Economist online.
